What is the difference between blocked and non-blocked OPE?
Blocked OPE has been formed by two films that seal to each other at the top of the blown film line. Film is symmetric It contains low SIT resins to achieve better seal performance with respect to Non-Blocked OPE Optic performance is better than Non-Blocked OPE
It has better tear resistance on TD compared to Non-Blocked OPE
Non-blocked OPE is separated version of blocked film where there is no extra sealant between layers and film is being winded on two winders as asymmetric.
Unlike Blocked OPE, Non-blocked OPE does not contain low SIT resin. It contains high density material in seal layer.
Non-blocked OPE is hazier compared to Blocked OPE
Which films can be used to be laminated with OPE?
PFL7PL and PFL8EKY-PL has been designed to be laminated with OPE film.
Both films show great LOW SIT performance.
PFL8EKY-PL has also been upgraded for easy tear performance on both directions
